Format & Rules

2-on-2 Format will emailed to the captains.

4-on-4 Format will be as follows...

Team Photo Shots:
Every team can expect their team photo shot before the tournament begins to share with their friends or even change their Facebook profile picture.

Antennas & Center Court:
Players can expect antennas on every court and one center court for their Final game.

Preliminary Games:
Each team will play 3 different teams, one game, rally scoring, first to 21 points (cap at 21 points.) One switch when the first team reaches 11 points. These preliminary games will seed the teams into a double elimination tournament (every teams qualifies.)

Tournament Games:
The tournament will remain one game, rally scoring, but to 21 points (win by 2 points, cap at 25 points) but switch every 7 total points.  Teams must lose two games before eliminated.

Level of Play:
There are 3 set divisions: Recreational (where a player may register as an individual or a team) designed for individuals that understand the game but are just looking to have fun. The intermediate division are mostly "A/B" level. The competitive division are mostly "AA/A". All players should understand the Beach Rules and visit Arizona Volleyball Ranking for a better idea of rankings.

Coed Format:
All divisions are coed 4's format and consists of at least one female on the court.  Teams may play with 3 players (2 males/1 female or 1 male/2 female or even 1 male/1 female) due to injury or absence of a teammate. 3 female and 1 male is acceptable also.

Substitutions:
Players that are registered on another team will not be allowed to substitute on another team.  Any player that substitutes on a team must be approved by the tournament director or the team may be subject to forfeit without a refund.

Award Ceremony
Adult players that are eligible for cash prizes (but are subject to change depending on the amount of teams registered but will be announced 24 hours prior to the tournament).  Players under 18 years of age and college athletes are eligible to participate but their legal guardian or college athlete will sign a waiver that the participant is not eligible for cash prizes; unless, the legal guardian signs an additional waiver that the participant is not following any national organization guidelines in which the legal guardian is eligible for the cash prize.
